What is a studio boudoir session!?
A studio session is a great option if you feel like doing an in-home session is inaccessible or uninspiring to you. If you're looking for a fresh space to set the vibe, then a studio rental is a great option! (I'm also happy to meet you at a hotel or Airbnb!)
I've photographed in a variety of local studios, but my favorite is a stunning, lofted space, in Downtown Salt Lake City, located off of 400 W 400 S.
About the Studio Space
The studio is an 1100 square foot, open loft, styled space. It has large vintage windows, white brick walls, a matte black wall, and a LOT of natural light. It also has three couches, a bed, and several chairs. (Photos coming soon!)
What should I prepare, before my session?
Upon scheduling your reservation, I will send you a boudoir guide to help you plan and prepare for your session.
Here's some of the basics to help you get an idea:
- I'll coordinate the studio rental, so you don't need to worry about that!
- Plan to arrive at the studio "camera ready".
- Camera ready just means having your hair and makeup styled, prior to your arrival.
- Any desired hair and makeup services will need to be scheduled separately, through your preferred stylist(s).
- If you're looking for some recommendations, check out a list of my preferred vendors here!
- Bring any outfits and accessories that you want to utilize, during your session.
- The photo shoot generally provides enough time for 1-3 outfits/looks.
- Once you arrive at the studio, I'll introduce you to the space. We'll chat for a few minutes, plan the order of your outfits, and then I'll step out, while you change into your first outfit!
- I'll guide you through a posing flow for the entirety of the session, so there is no need to prepare any poses or have any prior experience.
- If there are any poses or photos that you've been inspired by, I'd love to see them! I'm happy to incorporate any ideas you have or poses you'd like to try!
