IMAGE EDITING AND GALLERY DELIVERY FAQ:

How would you describe your color editing?

My traditional color editing aims to be true to the environment, with a touch of warmth.
I really love color and accentuating the vibrancy, while still maintaining a natural, timeless look.

However! I LOVE getting creative and curating a style to fit the theme. If you've been inspired by something, want your digital photos to feel like film, or you need your photos to match your branding, I am happy accommodate your style needs!

What alterations are made with skin editing?

When you sign your contract, you'll be able to opt-in or decline skin editing services. (There is no additional charge if you opt-in to this service.)

Please note: I only remove temporary blemishes, such as zits and small bruises.

I do NOT utilize skin smoothing or body altering tools.
I do NOT remove scars, birth marks, stretch marks, or skin texture, etc.
If you're looking for an airbrushed look, there are many other talented photographers who offer that stye of editing; I am not one of them.

Can you edit my wrinkles and/or stretch marks?

Respectfully, no.

I view aging and growing older as a privilege. It breaks my heart that women are lead to believe that we decline in value with age. I refuse to contribute to an act that betrays other women into thinking that they are alone in aging and changing.

We're all in this together. The more we normalize bodies changing and aging, the more we can enjoy our lives fully.

Can you edit my tan lines?

My skin editing process is very minimal, to help you maintain a natural appearance.
Tan lines can be tricky to edit and are not included in my skin editing services.
I will do my best to minimize any visible tan lines with the use of posing and lighting.

However, I do not guarantee that they will be hidden entirely.

Getting creative with your outfit choices and props can also be a great way to help minimize the appearance of any tan lines.

Can you make me look thinner and/or younger?

I, of course, want you to enjoy your photos. Please let me know if there are areas of your body that you're still practicing loving, or that you don't currently feel comfortable having photographed.

I am here to help you celebrate yourself, as you are, in this exact moment -- because you are worthy of celebration. Period.

There are no pre-qualifications that you need to meet, in order to book a shoot for yourself.

I do NOT offer any body altering.
I do NOT remove scars, birth marks, stretch marks, or skin texture, etc.
I do NOT use any skin smoothing tools.

Can you photoshop "this" out?

It depends on what "this" is? The most common requests are for distracting objects or rogue hairs.

I'm truthfully not a photoshop wizard and I strive to minimize the amount of AI software that I utilize in my photography editing.

So, as a general rule of thumb, let's just wait until the annoying "thing" is out of the shot, or adjust the rogue element and take the photo again. I'm happy to spend a little extra time getting the details how we want them in the moment, rather than depending on my photoshop skills to fix it later.

Do you outsource your editing?

No; all photo editing is a meticulous labor of love completed within Opal Hour Photo by Brie Pereboom.

The editing process is a really special part of the photography where everything comes together and small adjustments in colors or values can really make an image pop. I pride myself on my editing diligence. This is not a one-filter-fits-all kind of experience. Each photoshoot is curated to represent the colors and vibe that were present, while still maintaining a cohesive feel with any past or future galleries.
