ABOUT BRIE PEREBOOM | CONCERT & MUSIC PHOTOGRAPHER

SLC CONCERT & MUSIC PHOTOGRAPHER

MUSIC PHOTOGRAPHER SINCE '08

“As a Salt Lake City local, I grew up going to shows in the straightedge and hardcore music scenes. I started learning film and digital photography, around the same time. My camera became my saving grace, allowing me to camp out on stage and avoid the mosh-pits.

I became friends with bands and met artists from Trapped Under Ice (who would later create Turnstile) and Hundredth (before they changed genres).”

Pocket-Sized Photographer

“Being 4'9" has been a huge advantage for me to take concert photos. I fit very easily on stage and can get unique images, without being in the way. I literally enjoy ALL types of music. The current artists I have on repeat are Goth Babe, Post Malone, A Day to Remember, and Sabrina Carpenter, but I love diving into some "Divorced Dad Rock", hardcore, rap, folk, indie, or slutty pop music.

Music is a radical act

“Music creates connection and community. I love the shared experience and tangible energy that live music creates. I love DIYers. I love the punk rock mentality of making things happen for yourself and putting your music out there. Music genuinely has the power to change the world. I believe it's a great honor and responsibility to have that influence. Being able to feel the energy from live music is life changing and an immense privilege to photograph.
