Hi!!! I'm Brie!
I love photography. I love art. I love creating. I love meeting and connecting with new people. I love helping people to really see themselves, and realize their brilliance. I love finding new and better ways of doing things. I love cheering people on and supporting them in their passions.
It's all kind of the point, isn't it? To do what we love, with the people we care about.
I care deeply about my work and the clients I work with, in every aspect of my job. I feel so fucking blessed. I really just want to do the very best that I can to cheer you on, help your vision come to life, help you see yourself through a new lens, tell your story, and celebrate the things that are important to you.
If you have any questions for me or ideas for a photoshoot, I would be honored to chat with you! Thank you so much for visiting my little slice of the internet.
I hope to connect with you soon!
XO
Brie
I'd love to create more fun shoots like these!

Why did you get into photography?
I have always had a love of photography and preserving memories. That passion has evolved and now I adore documenting special life events, and just helping people celebrate life in general. There doesn't need to be a "special occasion" to have your photos taken. Some of my favorite memories with friends have been collaborating on styled shoots, just for the sake of spending time together, being creative, and having fun.
As a kid, I almost always had a disposable camera on me. It was my favorite accessory and I took it everywhere.
I would mostly take pictures of dogs and ask to have my picture taken with dogs. Ironically, I was a VERY shy child, but I would magically summon some bravery, if it meant there was a chance that I could "pet that dog".
My uncle was a hobbyist photographer and one day he took me shopping, bought me a new dress, and took my photos with his roommate's dog. During the photoshoot, I couldn't be bothered to put down my snack, so I continued to eat my saltine crackers. That is still VERY much the same vibe of me today: I love a cute outfit, snacks, and hanging out with my dogs.
I still think about that experience and I miss that outfit! It's one of my favorite childhood memories, but I don’t know if the day would have been as memorable, if we didn't stop to take pictures.
Photos are such a magical way to time travel.
Why boudoir photography?
I fell in love with boudoir photography, out of an appreciation from my own boudoir experience. The photographer came to my house and the session felt as effortless, as hanging out with a friend. We moved a couch into my sunroom and caught the beautiful, early morning light. My dog watched us inquisitively from the other room. I had all of the comforts of home, in an experience that was very new, but exciting, to me.
I felt so pretty, sexy, and admired. I saw myself and parts of my body with admiration, in ways that I hadn’t experienced before.
It has always hurt my heart how harshly women can speak, look, and feel about themselves and their body. I felt so empowered by my own experiences, that I immediately wanted to to be able to offer this experience to other women.
Since this experience, in 2016, I've learned a lot. I still have a passion to help women see how magical and powerful they are, AND, empowerment doesn't stop with women. I want to help EVERYONE see how magical and worthy, they are. Self care isn't gender specific.
Non-binary and trans folks deserve a safe space. Men deserve a place to explore their soft, gentle, feminine side. "Sexy" and "empowered" looks different for everyone. Nothing excites me more than a client who wants to try something new and step out of their comfort zone.
This is YOUR "Opal Hour"; it's your time to shine.
